For 26 years we've been devoted to dance. Our history is rich with stories and service. We've given life to dreams and ignited the imaginations of hundreds and we'd like to think we are just beginning.

Our Story

Heather (Fiel) Healey, BA, Owner/Instructor, is a native of Gage, OK.  When given the choice between dance and piano lessons, she wisely chose dance as her preferred artistic outlet.  She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and pointe, and dabbled in hip hop, modern, western swing, musical theatre with a smidge of African Tribal dance. Over 20 years ago, a small community in northwest Oklahoma was transformed. Heather is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She is certified to teach ballet, tap, jazz, and modern through Dance Masters of America, Inc. and holds the office of Secretary for Dance Masters Lone Star Chapter #35.

Diva School of Dance's programs and classes are built on mutual respect for teammates, instructors, and those we compete with.  We focus on building strong technique for the first semester, incorporating those skills into our dances second semester to be presented at our Spring Recital.  We stress ballet technique classes for any student interest in dance, because ballet is the key to learning balance, center, and grace.  All classes begin with a warm-up, barre, center, and progressions across the floor, with attention on correct body placement and technique.

Our classes are divided by age and ability.  We limit the size of classes to ensure productive learning and high teaching standards.  Our students learn to work with other dancers and develop natural motor skills in a fun and creative way, while learning technique and dance skills.  Classes are instructed in a caring and motivated environment for all ages and in many dance styles.

Our goal is to nurture and encourage each and every child to do their best. We will instill every bit of those ingredients to help all students believe in themselves so they may become the dancers they’ve always dreamed of. We believe in an atmosphere of family and friendship where everyone is important.
